Marita is the backbone of SkillsConnection and has worked in all aspects of providing Disability Services to the Colac Community for 41 year. Marita has worked for SkillsConnection for 19 years and became CEO in 2010.
David Martin
Corporate Service Manager
David has been working in banking/finance related roles for over 30 years and has experience in Office Management, Payroll and Practice Accounting. David also has experience in working with the not-for-profit sector.
Frans Hillege
Quality & Safety Manager
Frans has a passion for Quality Outcomes and has more than 25 years experience in Quality, Risk and Compliance Management Systems in Printing, Banking and Healthcare. Frans joined SkillsConnection in Feb-2019.
Noel Ryan
Board Member - Chair
Noel is an established successful business man. He is also a member of several local service clubs and community groups. Noel has extensive knowledge in the Colac community.
John Angel
Board Member - Vice Chair
John has had highly successful career in the education department. Throughout John's career, he held several senior roles including Principal. John is also strongly involved in the Colac Community with both church and community group membership.
David Stephens
Board Member - Treasurer
David has first hand knowledge of SkillsConnection as a previous employee and has had a successful career in retailing , timber and hardware. David is also a fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants.
Kaye Shaw
Board Member
Kaye brings a wide skill set to the Board of Management. Kaye and her husband Peter (who was also a board member of SkillsConnection) were successful business owners in Colac. Kaye is currently a practicing remedial masseuse in Colac. Kaye is very committed to fundraising and assisting disadvantaged people with a focus on youth and developing sustainable support projects in under-developed countries.
Laurie Foster
Board Member
Laurie has experienced a successful legal career in Colac and is a Legal Executive at Clarke and Barwood Lawyers. Laurie's legal knowledge and experience is paramount to SkillsConnection. Laurie is also a local person with a strong knowledge of the area.
Victor Smith
Board Member
Victor has 35 years experience in accounting culminating in partnership of Colac's largest firm. Victor is currently a successful local businessman who is very supportive of the local community through sponsorship.

With a team of more than 120 full-time, part-time and casual staff, the SkillsConnection Management Team and Coordinators, supported by the Board, assist and enable the delivery of programs and services to the Colac community.
Community Connection’s specialist staff are an appropriately qualified and dedicated team, possessing formal qualifications in disability along with appropriate levels of hands-on experience gained working in disability programs and activities.
Staff also contribute their broader experience gained through a wide variety of qualifications, trades and life experiences.
